Sarah Burges’s striking collection of hand-tufted wool rugs and wall-hangings is a seamless interpretation of her delightfully exuberant floral paintings.

At the heart of each lovingly crafted rug is Sarah’s passion for colour, texture and boldness of scale. Relishing the freedom of improvised large-scale hand drawing on cloth, Sarah designs as she works. Her designs are spontaneous and in the moment, so that no two rugs are the same: robust, abstract, and perfect in their imperfections.

Using superior British Axminster wool, a locally made bespoke timber frame and the finest natural hessian, Sarah’s hand-tufted rugs are of exceptional strength and quality, providing warmth underfoot or a joyful statement piece on a wall. As at home in rustic, traditional settings as they are in modern interiors, Sarah’s unique, tactile rugs are made to last a lifetime, to pass from generation to generation.
